Had some time after work this afternoon, so I was finally able to make my long-overdue return to Riverworld. I'd floated past it several times this summer, but couldn't convince my friends or my boss to stop for it. Obviously I need to quit my job and find better friends.

Anyway, it was a beautiful day for a hike in the Delaware. The trail was only a little wet today. I went for a quicker approach than my last trip here and portaged my way to gz. After a methodical search, I finally had the cache in hand, almost a year and a half since I'd first looked at the puzzle. Couldn't find any signs of alien activity that the last finders alluded to, though that could be because I was one of those aliens. I put my name on the log and headed back out, where I was pleased to find an actual river (for a couple hundred feet at least). With a little assist from my tube, aka the SS Leaky, I got to shore and was back in my car a mere hour and a half after I'd left it.

This smiley was a long time in the making, glad I got it before it got too cold or I might have had to wait another couple seasons. The puzzle was fun, cache was well-constructed, and I can't love the location enough! Wish I could give it 10 favorites.

I was out today with some of my best buds, AKA the paddling fools! Several of the guys had been out a couple weeks ago on this stretch and claim they missed this cache. Well, I'm not sure if they looked for it and couldn't find it, or what, but they should have just said that they were on a scouting mission!

We ended up dragging our boats over some land obstacles and then took the super fun way to ground zero. Upon our arrival we were barely out of our boats when Mollie had the cache in hand! What a great camou job! After signing in and replacing, we went on to do a bit of exploring in the area and found a most unexpected and interesting item; wow! How in the world did that get here? Oh yeah, Fuzzy says it's aliens!

Earlier this summer I had taken a look at the puzzle for this one and came up with some preliminary info. However, I couldn't quite figure out what to do with it. In the meantime, some of the brighter (and way more focused) members of the crew put it all together. We had a blast here on the Delaware exploring Riverworld today. Thanks for the fantastic floating fun!

The last time Kevin and I were on the river we missed this one somehow. I don't know, we must have made a wrong turn somewhere. Anyway, today we brought plenty of help with us, so there was no way we were going to pass this one by again. I'm not sure if there is a right or wrong way to get to this cache. All I can say is we took the fun way.

I don't know this section of the river very well, but the water level seemed a little low to me. In a way it turned out to be a good thing. We came across a few things along the way that I never would have expected. I have learned one thing from watching tv the past couple of years. If you are out in the middle of the woods somewhere (or the middle of the river in this case) and you come across something that just can't be explained, aliens did it.

This being a SPACE2081 is just further proof they are right. A special thanks goes out to the space aliens that visited the Delaware river many years ago, making out paddle missions much more enjoyable. [:D] TFTF
